Giant Cheques

Oversized presentation cheques for charity events, fundraisers, and award ceremonies. Printed on foamex or dry-wipe board for reuse. Nationwide delivery.

Giant cheques are oversized prop cheques used for presentations, usually at charity events, award ceremonies, or fundraisers. They're designed to look good in photos and give the recipient something to hold while everyone crowds around. We print them on foamex board, or for charities and organisations making regular presentations, we do a dry-wipe version where you can update the amount and recipient with a whiteboard marker.

Who uses them

Charities, sports clubs, businesses, schools, corporate sponsors. Anyone handing over money who wants a photo for social media, the local paper, or their own records.

Common uses:

  • GAA clubs presenting sponsorship cheques
  • Pubs and restaurants handing over fundraiser totals
  • Corporate donations at charity events
  • Novelty cheques as props in stage shows or on TV
  • Lottery and prize presentations
  • Award ceremonies
  • Schools announcing sponsored walk totals

Material options

Rigid Foamex Board

Rigid PVC board with a smooth finish. It survives being handled, transported, and passed around for photos without creasing or looking tatty. If you're doing a one-off presentation and want something that looks the part, this is the standard choice.

Reusable Dry Wipe

Same 5mm foamex board, but with a dry-wipe laminate on top. The same material as a giant whiteboard in a boardroom or classroom. Write the recipient name, amount, and date with a whiteboard marker, wipe it off after the event, and use it again next time.

This is the option for pubs, clubs, and charities who make regular presentations. As an example, The Martello in Bray raises money for local charities throughout the year. With a reusable dry-wipe cheque, they can make sure every presentation looks professional while also making it clear in the media who's giving and where the money is going. One cheque, multiple events, different recipients each time.

Poster Paper

Lightweight paper option. Can be rolled up for transport. Indoor use only, and it won't survive much handling. Honestly, almost nobody orders these. If budget is that tight, it exists, but foamex is worth the extra.

Sizes

60cm x 30cm - Works for photos with 1 person. Reads fine on social media.

80cm x 40cm - Big enough to be clearly visible in photos, small enough to handle easily.

120cm x 60cm - The most common size. For stage presentations or when you need it to read from a distance. Big enough to put in a car, but small enough that you dont need to worry about a van. Works for 2 or 3 people.

Design

We have a standard cheque template that we'll add your logo and brand colours to. This is included in the price. If you want something completely custom, we can do that too, but it's a separate design fee.

Send us your logo and let us know what colours you want, and we'll set up a proof for approval before printing.

What people get wrong

Ordering too small. The cheque needs to be readable in photos. If three people are holding it and you can't read the amount, it's not doing its job.

Text too close to edges. Leave breathing room. Tight margins look cramped and unprofessional.

Choosing paper when they need foamex. Paper creases. Once it's creased, it looks cheap in every photo. If anyone is going to handle it, go foamex.

Turnaround

Usually 3 working days. If you're stuck, call us and we'll see what we can do.

Common questions

How do I get a big cheque for a charity presentation?

Order online or email us. Send your logo and the details you want on the cheque, and we'll set up a proof. Once you approve it, we print and ship.

How much does a giant cheque cost?

Starts at €60+VAT for the smallest foamex option. Price depends on size and material. Dry-wipe costs more but pays for itself if you're using it multiple times.

Can I reuse a presentation cheque?

Yes, if you order the dry-wipe option. Use a whiteboard marker to write the details, wipe clean after the event, write new details next time.

What size should I get?

120x60cm works for most presentations and is the most common size ordered.

Do you deliver?

Yes, nationwide delivery across Ireland. Or collect from us in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow.

Can you match my brand colours?

Yes. Send us your logo and tell us the colours you want. We'll add them to the template as part of the standard fee.
