A1 Poster Printing

A1 is the workhorse of event promotion. At 594mm x 841mm, it's big enough to catch attention in a busy pub or venue window, but not so big that you're fighting for wall space. It's the size you see outside music venues, in café windows, and on notice boards in student unions. If you're promoting something and need people to actually stop and read it, A1 is usually the right choice.

We print more A1 posters than any other large format size. Most of them are for events: club nights, gigs, comedy shows, fundraisers, festivals. The kind of thing where you need ten or twenty copies to put up around town, and you probably need them by the weekend. We print in-house in Kilcoole, so if your artwork is with us by 10:30am, you can collect the same day. Next day delivery is available if you're not nearby.

What we print on

All A1 posters are printed on 200gsm matt paper. It's a solid weight that holds up in snap frames and doesn't curl at the edges. The matt finish keeps colours punchy without the glare you get from gloss under pub lighting or window reflections. Works well for bold graphics, photography, and text-heavy designs like menus or event schedules.

What people use A1 for

Event posters are the big one. We print for pubs, clubs, music venues, theatres, and promoters across Dublin and Wicklow. After that, it's large format menus for restaurants and cafés, the kind that go in a frame or holder by the door. Then student projects and academic work, for when A0 feels like overkill but A2 doesn't have the presence.

Snap frames

If you're swapping posters in and out regularly, a snap frame makes life easier. The edges click open, you slide the new poster in, and you're done. No messing with blu-tack or pins. We can supply A1 snap frames alongside your print if you need them.

Artwork and turnaround

Same day printing works when your file is ready to go. That means 594 x 841mm, 150dpi minimum, no edits needed. If the file needs tweaking or the resolution isn't there, we'll let you know, but it might push things to the next day. For larger orders, give us a call first so we can check the schedule and make sure we can turn it around in time.
