This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to anyone who uses our website (wedoprinting.ie), places an order, or contacts us.

We respect your privacy and we're straightforward about how we handle your data. We don't sell it, we don't share it for marketing purposes, and we don't collect more than we need.

    Who we are

We Do Printing Ltd is the data controller for the personal information we collect through this website and our business operations. We're a digital print company based in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow, Ireland.

    What information we collect

    When you place an order

    • Your name and contact details (email, phone number, delivery address)
    • Your company name (if applicable)
    • Payment information (processed securely by our payment provider, not stored by us)
    • Artwork files you upload
    • Order history and correspondence about your jobs

    When you contact us

    • Your name and email address
    • Whatever you include in your message

    When you browse our website

    • IP address
    • Browser type and device information
    • Pages visited and how long you spent on them
    • How you arrived at our site (referral source)

Why we collect it and our legal basis

To fulfil your order (contractual necessity)

We need your name, address, and contact details to print your job, deliver it, and contact you if there's a query about your artwork or order.

To send you invoices and receipts (legal obligation)

We're required to keep financial records under Irish tax law.

To improve our website (legitimate interest)

We use analytics to understand how people use our site so we can make it better. This data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally.

To send you marketing emails (consent)

If you opt in, we may send occasional emails about new products or services. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. We won't add you to a mailing list without your permission.

    Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use them for:

    Necessary cookies

These keep the site working properly. They handle things like keeping you logged in and remembering what's in your basket. You can't opt out of these without breaking the site.

    Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This helps us know which pages are useful and which need work. The data is anonymised.

    Marketing cookies

If you accept them, these allow us to show you relevant ads on other platforms and track whether our advertising is working.

You can manage your cookie preferences using the banner that appears when you first visit, or by adjusting your browser settings. Our cookie consent tool lets you change your choices at any time.

Who we share your data with

We share your information only where it's necessary to complete your order or run our business:

    • Couriers and delivery services - your name, address, and phone number so they can deliver your order
    • Payment processors - to handle your card payment securely
    • Our accountant and accounting software (Xero) - for invoicing and financial records
    • Mailchimp - if you've opted into marketing emails
    • Google Analytics - anonymised browsing data

We don't sell your data to anyone. We don't share it with third parties for their own marketing.

If a third-party supplier needs your data to complete part of your order (for example, if we outsource a specialist finish), they receive only what's needed for that job and nothing more.

How long we keep your data

    • Order records and invoices: 6 years (required under Irish tax law)
    • Artwork files: We aim to keep your files for a minimum of 12 months after your last order. Long-term storage of artwork is not part of our service. If files are deleted before or after the 12-month period, we cannot be held liable for the loss of your artwork. If you need your files kept longer, let us know and we'll do our best, but we'd always recommend keeping your own copies.
    • Contact form messages: Kept as long as we retain emails (i.e. as part of normal business correspondence)
    • Analytics data: Retained in anonymised form by Google Analytics as per their retention settings (currently 14 months)
    • Marketing list: Until you unsubscribe

    • Access â€” ask us what data we hold about you
    • Correction â€” ask us to fix anything that's wrong
    • Deletion â€” ask us to delete your data (where we're not legally required to keep it)

    • Object â€” object to processing based on legitimate interest

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@wedoprinting.ie. We'll respond within 30 days.

    Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Our website uses HTTPS encryption. Payment details are handled by PCI-compliant payment processors and never touch our servers. Access to customer data is limited to staff who need it to do their job.

No system is 100% secure, but we take this seriously and review our practices regularly.

Our services are not aimed at anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
