Rigid Signs

Flat, solid boards for walls, frames, posts, and stands. Unlike posters or banners, these hold their shape without mounting or tensioning.

Which material depends on where it's going and how long it needs to last. Corriboard for temporary outdoor work on a budget. Foamex for general purpose indoor and outdoor. Dibond for long-term outdoor signage that needs to stay flat for years. Honeycomb board for large lightweight displays that can be recycled after. Card for short-term indoor point of sale. Clear Acrylic for premium reception signs and office displays.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which rigid sign material is best for outdoor use?

For temporary outdoor signage (up to 12-18 months), Corriboard is the most affordable option. It's lightweight, waterproof, and works well for events, elections, and building sites. For permanent outdoor signs that need to last years without warping or fading, Dibond is the better choice. Foamex sits in the middle and handles outdoor use well for medium-term jobs.

What's the difference between Foamex and Dibond?

Foamex is a rigid PVC board. It's lighter, cheaper, and works well for most indoor and outdoor signage. Dibond is an aluminium composite panel with a solid plastic core between two aluminium sheets. It's heavier, more expensive, but stays perfectly flat in all weather conditions and lasts significantly longer outdoors. If the sign is going up for years, Dibond is worth the extra cost.

Can you cut rigid signs to custom shapes?

Yes. We cut everything on a flatbed cutter, so we can do straight cuts, rounded corners, or full contour cuts to any shape. Just send us the artwork with the cut line marked and we'll take care of it.

What's the most eco-friendly rigid sign option?

Honeycomb board (Swedeboard). It's made from recycled cardboard, strong enough for large display panels, lightweight for easy transport, and fully recyclable after use. Good for exhibitions, events, and trade shows where you want something sturdy but don't want it ending up in landfill.
